Position:          Vice President, National Sales

Reports to:      Executive Committee


We are currently looking for an individual to fill the position of Vice President, National Sales. The ideal candidate will have a background in the financial services sector and a proven track record of building a sales force. Knowledge of RESP’s, Mutual Funds, Insurance, and other investment products and services is a definite asset. This individual will report to a senior executive team as they build out the sales force.



Major responsibilities will include but not limited to:


  • Develop the annual sales plan;
  • Recruit and develop new sales teams in addition to managing existing sales force, generate and negotiate new income for the company to an annual agreed companywide target;
  • Present the company to potential sales representatives;
  • Actively and collaboratively manage the company's product presentations by sales staff to potential clients;
  • Be proactive and responsive to prospective and existing sales force;
  • Conduct business analysis in conjunction with the finance department;
  • Collaborate and manage the sales team to establish strategic sales plans to reach their goals; 
  • Ability to manage and work within a budget; knowing how to balance cost-for-acquisition with value;
  • Regional VP’s of Sales and VP’s of Business Development and all sales staff will report to you;
  • Develop, administer and maintain a comprehensive Sales and Marketing plan across Canada;
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all sales initiatives, marketing programs and activities;
  • Integrate and align sales strategies;
  • Report to Executive Committee comprised of CEO and senior executives




  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in this capacity within the financial industry;
  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience;
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Experience in managing large sales teams to deliver objectives;
  • Strong analytic and financial acumen is imperative
